The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it really is alarmed with regards to the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach click here Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The services stage produced for intervention encounters a large influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to help the servicing of all prospects and maximize entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
